Payment Methods, deposits and cancellations

STUDENT-ACCOMMODATION-MADRID offers you a variety of easy and convenient payment methods, depending on your length of stay and type of accommodation selected during your time in Madrid. This page also informs you about our deposits and cancellation conditions.

Payment Methods

1. Debit/Credit Card:

You can settle payment via our secure online Paypal account, a secure payment processor.

        - Click on the following link: http://www.ailmadrid.com/alt-payment.php and insert the amount Paypal due.
        - Click on “Continuar” until a page “asking” your details appear. The page initially appears in Spanish, but if you select your country in the "País" drop down menu, the page will revert back to your native language.
        - Please then insert your credit / debit card details as requested.

Alternatively, you can send us your debit/credit details over the phone or via e-mail. The details required are:

        - The 16 digit Visa / MasterCard card number
        - The security code (the last three digits on the back of the card)
        - The expiry date of the card (month and year)

* NOTE: There is a surcharge of 4% on all debit and credit card payments. All details will be destroyed after the transaction.

NOTE: Please clearly indicate your name on the bank transfer, and fax us a copy of the receipt, so that we can confirm your reservation.

STUDENT-ACCOMMODATION-MADRID accepts no responsibility for any bank transfer charges. Any extra charges need to be settled at your end of the transaction; please inform the bank of this when making your payment.

3. Cheque : Either a Euro cheque drawn on a Spanish bank (payable to Academia Internacional de Lenguas Madrid S.L.) or a Sterling cheque drawn on a British bank (payable to AIL Madrid Limited).

Payment Timescales
Reservations for a period of 4 weeks or less - In order to confirm the reservation, the total amount due must be paid in full upon reservation.

Reservations for periods of 4 weeks or more - Payment must be maid on a monthly basis, in advanced and in accord with the payment schedule indicated on the invoice.

*NOTE: The booking is effective only when we receive a proof of payment or the payment itself.

The deposit will be returned by bank transfer after the keys have been handed back and the room inspected on departure. You must provide your bank details in order for the deposit to be paid back.

Cancellations

Cancellation before occupancy

If the host family or shared flat reservation is cancelled before arrival, the deposit will be refunded at the rates indicated below:

Less than 7 days	Full deposit retained
Between 7 days and 14 days	25% of deposit returned
Between 15 days and 30 days	50% of deposit returned
More than 30 days notice	Full deposit returned

If the resident decides to leave the flat or the family before the end of the contractual period, the amount to be refunded is determined by the length of the stay:

- Stays of less than 4 weeks: payment retained in full, deposit returned in full.

- Stays of more than 4 weeks: payment is due until the last day of occupancy. A part of the deposit is retained at the rates indicated below:

Between 7 days and 14 days	50% of deposit retained
Between 15 days and 30 days	25% of deposit retained
More than 30 days notice	Full deposit refund

Please note that if a student residence reservation is cancelled, one month rent will be retained in all cases. If a hotel reservation is cancelled, 90€ of the payment will be returned.

Contracts:

Student Accommodation Madrid will establish a contract at the time the booking is made. The contract must be signed before entering in the accommodation, and be sent to STUDENT-ACCOMMODATION-MADRID either by fax or email.
