Student Residence is the most suitable option for independent students, who like the idea of living within a large community with young adult students and want to experience a fun and stimulating environment.
An accommodation block made up of 20 to 25 rooms (singles or doubles), some of which have a bathroom. Communal areas include the kitchen, dining room and living room.
- Centrally located between Plaza España and Palacio de Moncloa (Residence of the Spanish Prime Minister), the Student Residence is a fantastic base to explore Madrid. There are a huge array of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs all on the doorstep and catering for all tastes and budgets. Just a short walk west from the Student Residence is the vast parkland called Parque de la Montaña. This boasts an attractive lake, a zoo, and Madrid’s largest theme park as well as extensive areas for walking and cycling (over 1,000 hectares).
- A relaxed, student atmosphere - the Student Residence is the perfect place to study as it is quiet, safe and secure.
- Freedom to enter and leave as you wish (you will be given keys to the building).
- You can experience life with a community feel to it. The majority of the students in the Student Residence are Spanish so you have a great opportunity to get to know people from Spain and improve your fluency in Spanish.
- Double rooms can be available for male students only.
- Meals are included in the price - so that you can dedicate your time to your studies while enjoying typical Spanish food.
- During the academic year (October-June), full board lodging is offered (ie breakfast, lunch and dinner). If you cannot come back to the Student Residence at lunchtime, a pack lunch is prepared for you. You need to advise the catering staff in advance the day before.
- In the summer months (July & September),
> will be served Breakfast only. Note that the residence will be closed in August.
- Breakfast is served from 7.30-10.00 Monday to Friday and from 9.00-11.00 on Saturday.
- Lunch is served from 14.00-15.45 Monday to Saturday .
- Dinner is served from 20.30-22.00 Monday to Saturday. If you are not there at this time, the catering staff can save you a meal if you advise them in advance.
- There is no meal service on Sundays. There is a fridge in the residence to st ore you own food and a microwave is available for your use.
- Free Internet access in every room.
- Phones in every room (incoming calls only).
- Bed linnen and towels provided and changed weekly.
- Launderette service included - each week your washing is collected, washed and ironed for you.
- Cleaning service - your room is cleaned daily and your bed made.
- The use or possession of drugs or alcohol is prohibited inside the building. Any breach of this rule will lead to immediate eviction.
- No outside guests are allowed inside the residence after 23.00.
- No noise is permitted after 23.00.
- Student Residence is available for periods from 2 weeks to months (October - June inclusive) and from a week or more during the summer months (July & September).
Note : During Christmas and Easter holydays (from Monday to Sunday), there is no service (meals, cleaning, laundry).
The Student Residence is highly recommended for those who want to live in a young and fun environment, and have the benefits of meals and cleaning included.
